Space Art Contest
The idea of the Space Art program is to encourage young students (6 to 18 years old) to imagine about the Universe, to learn about astronomy and discover things for themselves by researching information on an astronomical object.

"Have you ever considered that there’s a layer surrounding our Solar System, and that we might be able to go beyond it? The heliosphere has been shaped backward by the pressure of interstellar winds. The first satellite to go beyond the heliosphere was Voyager 1. This event shows us that thing that seem impossible are not impossible."

"To me, this drawing is very reminiscent of the colorful structures of gas and dust that we see in cosmic nebulae. I tried to depict the Carina Nebula, this nebula has many complex, wavy gas shapes that look almost like streams of paint. The texture of the drawing is very reminiscent of the turbulent cosmic gas zones seen in photographs of this nebula."

“Star Birth”
“Space has always attracted my attention and I have been following the observations made by the James Webb telescope closely. In 2023, described as the brightest event in the sky, a massive “kilonova” explosion about 8.3 million light-years away from Earth was observed by the James Webb Space Telescope. The JWST recently observed a phenomenon created by the collision of two neutron stars millions of light-years away from our planet. This development was very impressive for me. I imagined this explosion as a baby birth and adapted it to my work. I used a fabric technique in this work.”

“Observed for thousands of years, the Pisces constellation is one of my favorite constellations. The sky always fascinated me, and every summer and spring, I love spending hours watching the night and finding constellations. To create a dreamy atmosphere for this drawing, I decided to depict the two fish from the Pisces constellation. There isn’t a proper way to see this drawing : maybe the fish are coming out of the ocean and flying, or maybe they belong to the stars?”
