Hristo Stoev, the coordinator of the Catch a Star project, reminds us that there is one month left until the deadline of this year’s project.
The idea of the competition is to give students the possibility to present their astronomical observations and data reduction of interesting astronomical objects and events. The puropose of the competition is to stimulate curiosity and creativeness of students from European countries (and not only) that do astronomical observations and research by themselves or in a team.
The teams that present the best projects will receive special prizes from the European Southern Observatory (ESO) and will participate in video meetings with professional astronomers from ESO and other European observatories. For the first time in its history, the winners of competition will be announced during a closing video-conference.
The terms and conditions to participate, the requirements for the projects, the prizes and the important dates of the competition are present on the web page of the competition.
